KATLIN MICHAEL BOURGEOIS began dancing in their hometown of Gonzales, Louisiana. After graduating from Alonzo King LINES Ballet Training Program, they began a career that included dancing with Dance Theatre of San Francisco, DanceWorks Chicago, FLOCK Works, Hubbard Street 2, M/Motions, and The Cambrians as well as co-founding Ensemble180, a project dance company.  Katlin is a performer, choreographer, as well as educator and, since 2022, Head of Contemporary Ballet Trainee Program at the Grainger Academy of The Joffrey Ballet.  Named “Best Emerging Voice in Dance 2023” by Chicago magazine, Katlin brings a unique perspective and approach to dance training, with a philosophy that asks dancers to tap into rigor, technical prowess, creativity, and love for dance.
