KARA HUNSINGER, from Modesto, CA, started her dance training at Steps Dance Arts Center and continued with professional level training at Juline’s School of Dance. Kara graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BFA in Dance from the University of Arizona. At U of A, she had the honor of performing works by George Balanchine, Nacho Duato, Tamara Dyke-Compton, Autumn Eckman, Alexei Ratmansky, Sam Watson, and Christopher Wheeldon. Kara danced with Hawkinsdance under the direction of Shelly Hawkins during her senior year. Kara’s additional training includes Alonzo King LINES Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Ballet West, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, and San Francisco Conservatory of Dance. Kara joined DanceWorks Chicago in August 2019.
