Join DanceWorks Chicago dancers in a special master class for advanced/professional dancers with OSCAR RAMOS!

From Cidra, Puerto Rico, Oscar Ramos began his training and professional career with the conservatory of Ballet Concierto de Puerto Rico. After moving to NYC to train at the Ailey School as a member of the Fellowship Program, Ramos relocated to Chicago to join Hubbard Street 2 under the direction of Julie Nakagawa dancing works by Robert Battle, Alex Ketley, Edwaard Liang, and Christian Spuck. In 2007, Ramos joined Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet creating original works with internationally acclaimed choreographers Benoit-Swan Pouffer, Crystal Pite, Hofesh Schecter, Jacopo Godani, Alexander Ekman, and Stijn Celis. In 2012, Ramos joined the world-renowned Batsheva Dance Company under the direction of Ohad Naharin, participating in Naharin’s most recent creations The Hole and Last Work. Teaching and choreographing internationally, Ramos pulls from his diverse experiences, culminating in a fusion of styles from ballet and jazz to Gaga. Ramos continues to share his movement experiences creating works for schools and companies worldwide.

See Oscar dance with Aszure Barton + Artists as part of the Chicago Dancing Festival and then share the studio with DWC dancers in Oscar’s contemporary technique and movement invention class!
