DayLab, DanceWorks Chicago’s version of a One-Day Workshop, is open to advanced/professional level dancers 15+ on selected dates this summer. Join us for one or both DayLabs and immerse yourself in a professional environment geared to addressing training and artistic exploration in a holistic manner.

11am-12:30pm, ballet barre/contemporary center with Ballet X Dancer, Caili Quan, Philadelphia
12:45pm-2pm, contemporary with Ensemble180 Co-Director, Katlin Michael Bourgeois, Chicago
2-3pm, improv with Dark Circles Contemporary Dance Artistic Director, Joshua L. Peugh, Dallas
3pm-3:30pm Tell-it-Like-it-is Seminar with DanceWorks Chicago Artistic Director, Julie Nakagawa; Dance360 Program Director, Sara Bibik; Caili; Katlin; and Joshua

DanceWorks Chicago is committed to supporting individual artistic growth, providing a laboratory for early career artists to journey from “good to great” through training, collaboration, mentorship, and performance. DWC shines a spotlight on individual artists, celebrating unique voices and finding harmony in collaboration. DWC alumni have continued their careers with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Ballet Hispanico, Grand Rapids Ballet, Alonzo King LINES Ballet, The Lion King, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Robert Moses’ Kin, and Northwest Dance Project, among other pursuits.
