ChoreoLab (Monday-Saturday, August 4-9)
ChoreoLab is a one-week residency for professional-caliber dancers looking for a focused creative period with invited choreographers to develop new creations and build artistic networks. ChoreoLab 2025 dancemakers, invited by DanceWorks Chicago’s Artistic Director, are Kelsi Fears and Paula Sousa. Each dancemaker will hand-pick their cast out of the pool of ChoreoLab dancers. Days mirror life at DanceWorks Chicago and start with a morning technique class followed by rehearsal, coaching, and sharing. Be part of a rewarding week of using your technical skills and artistic voice that will be unveiled at a culminating showcase in the Ruth Page Center Theater.
The most beautiful aspect for me was simply sharing love and passion for this art form with others in an entirely judgement-free environment. I felt the most liberated in my dancing than I have in a long time, and I found a new appreciation for myself in ways I had never expected.

- ATTEND a Chicago CommUNITY DayLab (half day workshops) on Sunday, January 12.
- ATTEND DanceWorks Chicago Open Company Class, selected dates starting January 6.
- SUBMIT a video audition.

Registration: first come, first served

Early Bird Rate: Lock in the Early Bird Rate of $580 with completed registration and one week deposit submitted on or before Friday, May 23 at noon (Central)! EXTRA: Add more weeks after your initial registration…all at the Early Bird Rate!
Standard Rate: $625 (after noon, Central time, on Friday, May 23)
SCHOLARSHIPS/WORK-STUDY POSITIONS
Upon program acceptance, dancers will receive scholarship and work-study applications. All scholarships are partial scholarships.
