Chicago Dance Time Capsule

You’re Invited!

Hey, Chicago Dance Peeps! Before we leave 2020 in the rearview mirror, you are invited to contribute to a digital Chicago Dance Time Capsule! It’s FUN and EASY!

WHO: Artists, administrators, audience, board members, funders, production crew, donors, behind-the-scenes folks, everyBODY!

WHAT: a 20-second vid with your name(s) and/or organizational affiliation (if you’d like) and a brief response to one of these prompts:

  • Three words to describe your hopes/aspirations for a new year?
  • Share a one-sentence message to your 2021 self?
  • What is a commitment that I made during 2020 that I will see through in 2021?

WHERE: Get comfy, record a 20-second response, and then use this link to submit: https://app.vidhug.com/chicago-dance-time-capsule/H1pj3kK2v/record

WHEN: Submissions are welcome through Monday, January 4 OR until capacity is reached, whichever comes first. Even digital time capsules have their limits! Thank you for respecting the 20-second request.

WHY: Chicago Dance History Project, DanceWorks Chicago, and See Chicago Dance invite you to reflect on 2020 and to add your voice to a commUNITY chorus, capturing this time in Chicago dance history. The time capsule will be housed at Chicago Dance History Project and opened in December 2021.
