Always Moving

The creation of the repertoire as well as the dances themselves are vehicles for our dancers and audiences to investigate a wide range of dance techniques, movement styles and artistic approaches. Whether through a full company piece or a more intimate creation, dancers and choreographers work together to engage in an exploration of influences from ballet to hip-hop to improvisation, resulting in the assemblage of a diverse collection of dances for DanceWorks Chicago.  Whether you use "repertoire" to mean the collection of dances or to mean the tools one has at one's disposal, the DWC repertoire is diverse, powerful, and eloquent.
