Cynthia Quick
Cynthia specializes in the coordination, management and promotion of public events and programs related to the arts & nature. She is particularly interested in working with organizations to manage, expand, develop and improve events which foster the arts and/or environmental initiatives as well as engage multicultural audiences.

Cynthia is currently working as Managing Director for Mordine & Co. Dance Theater, the oldest contemporary dance company in Chicago, led by founder and artistic director, Shirley Mordine.

As Director of Program Development in the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs, she created and implemented programs throughout Chicago in partnership with many cultural, community and corporate entities, such as:
• Chicago Artists Month, the annual, citywide celebration of visual artists at 220 venues attracting 60,000 people.
 • Dance ‘til the Dawn of the New Milllennium- a 2000 minute citywide dance party at 85 locations

In addition, Cynthia coordinated programs at the Chicago Cultural Center and in Millennium Park to support the dance community, cultural organizations, and tourism initiatives including: Dancing in the Park, About Dance, Games of the World, MVP Series: Multicultural Voices and Perspectives, The Lurie Garden Celebration and Miles of Music.

Prior to joining the City, Cynthia directed international events at Navy Pier with The Lakeside Group, including Chicago International Festival of Flowers and Gardens and Chicago International Boat Show, attracting 30-40,000 visitors. As show director, she guided the marketing, public relations, advertising, exhibitor and sponsorship development efforts.

Cynthia also ran her own company, consulting in the areas of special events, marketing and public relations with corporate and non-profit clients, including the Chicago Historical Society, New East Side Association, Chicago Artists’ Coalition and Chicago Association of Direct Marketing.
