BJÖRN HELGET, from Dresden, Germany, studied in his hometown at the Palucca School as well as at the State Ballet School of Berlin. He has danced with Landestheater Detmold, State Theatre of Mecklenburg in Schwerin, and with Gauthier Dance/Dance Company Theaterhaus Stuttgart where he performed in works by Alejandro Cerrudo, Marguerite Donlon, Mats Ek, Eric Gauthier, Jirí Kylián, Paul Lightfoot & Sol Leon, Hans van Manen, John Neumeier, Robert North, and Christian Spuck. Björn has had the opportunity to perform across Europe in Austria, England, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Poland, and Switzerland. In addition to dancing, he has started to explore choreography. Björn joined DanceWorks Chicago in September 2011.
